Millet snacks, made the old way

Ragi, bajra and jowar turned into laddus, sukhdi and a crunchy chevdo. Made fresh in Vadodara when you order.

See the millet snacks

Millets were everyday food in Indian kitchens long before they became a trend. Ragi (finger millet), bajra (pearl millet) and jowar (sorghum) are whole grains with a nutty, earthy taste, and they work beautifully in both sweets and savoury snacks.

Our ragi laddus and ragi sukhdi are slow-roasted in pure ghee and sweetened with jaggery. The millet mumra chevdo mixes puffed bajra, jowar and ragi with nuts in groundnut oil, for a light, crunchy savoury snack with your evening chai.

Nothing is added to stretch the shelf life, so every batch is made after you order. Each product page lists the full ingredients, so you know exactly what goes in.

Know your millets

Three grains, three very different tastes. Here is what each one brings, and where you’ll find it in our kitchen.

Ragi

Also called finger millet, nachni or nagli.

Earthy and a little chocolatey. Roasted in ghee it turns deep brown, which is why ragi laddus look so rich.

Bajra

Also called pearl millet or bajri.

Nutty and hearty. It's Gujarat's winter grain, the one behind bajra no rotlo.

Jowar

Also called sorghum or juvar.

Mild and slightly sweet, with a light, airy crunch once it's puffed.

Questions, answered

Which millets do you use?

Ragi (finger millet) in our laddus and sukhdi, and a mix of bajra, jowar and ragi in the millet mumra chevdo.

Are your millet snacks gluten-free?

We don't sell them as gluten-free. Our kitchen also uses wheat, for wheat sukhdi and the pancake premix, so we can't rule out traces. If you need strictly gluten-free food, please don't rely on these.

Do they contain sugar?

The ragi laddus and ragi sukhdi are sweetened with jaggery. The millet mumra chevdo is savoury, with a small pinch of sugar in its masala.

How long do they stay fresh?

They are best within 30 days of making (20 days for ragi laddu). Keep them in an airtight container, away from moisture.

What does delivery cost?

We deliver across India. Within Vadodara: free on orders of ₹599 or more, otherwise ₹60. Rest of India: free on orders of ₹899 or more, otherwise ₹120.
